27. Wrapped Around Her Little Finger

“There’s nothing cute about it,” he said. The register of his voice indicated decision more so than discussion.  “A kitten, Jenna?  Another one?  Who will take care of it?  Me?  Your mother?”

“Daddy, please?”
“I said no.”

She disagreed heartily and privately, staring past his head and out the window behind him.
Then she smiled that angelic smile of hers.

“Well, all right.”
She always won.

  1. Don't we all know little girls *always* win when they give their daddy that look? Yes, cute!

  4. Clever change up of the words. I like how you cut them. I can so see this in the future with my husband. Wait, who am I kidding? It has happened since birth. :) The magic of a daddy wrapped around a cute, little finger. Good one!

  7. I think it was creative of you to break up the phrase - thinking outside the box!

  8. This is a dandy submission. I am completely new to this "game" but I find it quite enthralling.
Very inventive of you to break up the thing as you did. And it is 100% on par for "cuteness" factor. Anything with kittens in it = Radical Cuteness in my books!

  9. A ha ha. I love it when the kids win. Maybe that's why I still don't have my dog. Must put kids up to the begging. Note to self.
