65. First Doctor's Visit

The pediatrician smiled.  “First baby, then?” 

“Yes,” replied Sarah, fumbling with her newborn’s pink pacifier.  “How can you tell?”    
The diaper was on backwards.  “You have the happy glow of a new mommy.”

  8. "The diaper was on backwards" I love the doctor's kindness combined with the mother's realization of what he must have understood. I never made my doctors stand still and hold my babies. I regret that. Those pictures are priceless.
